Huntingdon Area School District

The Huntingdon Area High School Music Department will be featured this Sunday evening at 7 p.m. in the virtual Isaac Awards at the Mishler Theatre.  The Isaac Awards began 15 years ago by Altoona Community Theatre as a way to recognize the achievements of students involved in high school musicals.  In the past, students were recognized in different categories from acting to musical group numbers to stage crew and everything in between!

When schools across PA began to close this March, only 5 of the 20 schools got to perform their show to a live audience.  HAHS was very much looking forward to participating in our first Isaac Award ceremony this spring, but we were one of the 15 schools that did not get their show to production in time.
Instead of cancelling the awards ceremony, The Isaacs have decided to host a virtual ceremony to celebrate the music programs of those 20 schools in a virtual celebration.  The ceremony Sunday night will be shared on YouTube and Facebook at 7 p.m.  The YouTube link is:
We are excited to be included in this special evening that will celebrate schools from across 6 counties in Pennsylvania.  Feel free to tune in to see some of our cast in the show!
