RIGHT-TO-KNOW LAW REQUEST GUIDELINES
This guideline outlines the procedures for requesting records for the Huntingdon Area School District under Pennsylvania’s Right-to-Know Law, 65 P.S. §§ 66.1-66.9. Questions regarding this policy should be directed to the Right to Know Office at 814-643-4140.

1. Signed written requests may be submitted to the district in person, by mail, to a designated facsimile machine, and to a designated email address during the regular business hours of 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays and official office closings. The request should identify or describe the records sought with sufficient specificity to enable the HASD to ascertain which records are being requested and shall include a name and address to which the HASD should address its response. The HASD will not accept oral or anonymous requests for records. Please refer to School Board Policy 801 for more information here.

4. An appeal of the decision of the Open Records Officer must be filed with the Pennsylvania Office of Open Records within fifteen (15) business days of the date of denial. The Appeals Form can be downloaded here. All appeals may be forwarded to:
