We are seeing an increase of COVID cases, not necessarily a spread, but we do have an increase in cases within the district and the community; therefore, on Wednesday, September 1 we will be requiring universal masking of all students and staff and anyone entering our buildings. I would certainly encourage the practice beginning tomorrow, August 31 but it will be in full effect on September 1. We are implementing universal masking until September 20 when the School Board will be evaluating the situation. Please note that masks will not be required at outside recess for the elementary students. I know this decision will make some of you very happy and others will not be happy with this decision, but we will do what we have to do to get through these times of uncertainty. Masks are still required on the buses. Please be safe and stay well. I greatly appreciate your support implementing masking.
