Remind 101- Shields

Dear Parents,

Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year!  This letter contains information for a communication program I utilize called, Remind.   Remind will help keep you and your child up-to-date on classroom news and assignments.  Remind is a free service that lets me send one-way messages via text or email to everyone involved with the class. A new feature also allows me to send chat messages back and forth.  Remind will keep our phone numbers and e-mails private, while making it a lot easier to stay in touch about important information.  Signing up for my messages on Remind is a quick and easy process.  Please see the information below to subscribe.  I recommend both parents and students sign up for both text and e-mail so that you don’t miss a thing!  If your child is under 13 years of age, when they sign up, it will prompt them to give your email address as confirmation they may join. Here are some more facts about Remind:

  • You will not be able to respond to any messages unless they are a private chat.
  • All messages are recorded in case we need to reference them in the future.
  • Your personal contact information is never seen by me or by the school.
  • Messages from my class will be sent straight to your phone or email account

Thanks for signing up for my class on Remind! If you have any questions about the service, please feel free to contact me at Kristen Shields or (814) 643-2900, ext. 3223.   I look forward to connecting with you!
